What you call "complete shutdown" is more like hibernation, and it isn't safe to make BIOS changes or boot an alternate device in that state. What you describe is entirely normal for Windos 8 and later when fast startup is enabled. This may not account as a major deal, of course, but being a brand new machine (just over three months old) it raises a concern, besides being an annoyance.Ĭan someone please provide any idea about possible causes? And still, for whatever reason, the message does appear if I do a Restart and if I press Enter it effectively interrupts its normal start up. Expectedly, pressing Enter doesn't do anything, as the system progresses to a normal Windows startup. This message that is supposed to appear at the start of each bootup is not showing up when I reboot after a complete shut down.
